In the organizer's words:
In 1737, Jacques de Vaucanson built the first android: a flautist made of metal that really played. From there, Benno Heisel embarks on a quirky musical journey through enlightenment, AI and the digital present in Android (built in 1737). The performance combines lecture, video and theater to reflect on work, consciousness and machines - from the fascination of automatons to the new sweatshop industry of data labeling. The journey is guided by a reconstruction of the historical android. Surreal, funny, disturbing - and with ducks.
