Get up close to the sky - with a trip to the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory on Insulanerhügel in Schöneberg. Explore the night sky over Berlin and learn all about the currently visible celestial bodies. Observe - depending on the weather - double stars, star clusters, planetary nebulae and even galaxies! In addition to a guided tour and guided observation through the large telescope, the "Bamberg refractor", you can look through the smaller telescopes on the roof of the observatory and enjoy the beauty of the cosmos.

The event can be visited at any time during the booked 3-hour time slot and takes place in all weathers. When the sky is overcast, the magnification of the telescope is illustrated by setting up objects in the city; when it rains, the focus is on technical aspects and the history of the observatory; unfortunately, the dome cannot then be opened.

The path to the observatory is not illuminated, so please bring your own flashlight in the dark.
