A DECLARATION OF LOVE

The revue Berlin, du coole Sau takes you through the last 100 years of this city's eventful history. "And Berlin was Sodom and Gomorrah", wrote Bertolt Brecht in 1928 about the third largest metropolis in the world at the time. Berlin has remained so to this day - a sleepless refuge for countless drifters in search of adventure.

The journey through time begins in Luna Park in the 1920s and ends in today's Berlin club Berghain. The musical journey through the eras was developed by the two singers Sharon Brauner (lyrics/idea) and Meta Hüper (musical direction), who are accompanied by the renowned Capital Dance Orchestra.

From swing to Love Parade, from Marlene Dietrich to Seeed: Berlin, Du coole Sau (Berlin, you cool pig) builds a musical bridge from the golden era to the sparkling present of this unique city.

The story is experienced through the eyes of a Berlin toilet lady: Adele - played by Berlin original Ades Zabel - tells of Berlin's legendary nightlife, starting in the 1920s and continuing into the 2020s. Always with her finger on the pulse of the times, she tells of the highlights and downfalls of the metropolis, from the building of the Wall to the fall of the Wall and the trash and glamor of this special connection that makes Berlin so unique.

Together with the wonderful singers Meta Hüper and Sharon Brauner, The Capital Dance Orchestra presents a brilliant evening with music, esprit, burlesque dance and Ades Zabel in film recordings

The long overdue musical homage to a unique city. A must for all Berlin lovers!
