BERLIN GLOBAL. Berlin Ausstellung im Humboldt Forum

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: Much of what happens in Berlin has an impact on the world. And much of what happens in the world affects Berlin. BERLIN GLOBAL shows how the city and its people are connected to the world. On the first floor of the Humboldt Forum, the exhibition will present Berlin as part of a diverse, interconnected world. It explores how the city, its people, and the events originating there have changed the world—and how, at the same time, global events have shaped Berlin, both then and now.
It is a contemporary look at the city and its global connections, spread across 4,000 square meters. The exhibition’s individual themed rooms explore revolution, open spaces, borders, pleasure, war, fashion, and interconnectedness. These are aspects that can also be found in other major cities, yet in this combination they are exemplary of Berlin. Diverse and consistently surprising, large-scale installations and atmospheric displays guide visitors into different thematic worlds that reflect Berlin’s diversity.
