Berlin-Karussell: Anton Lukoszevieze performt Solo for Balloons (1962) von George Mačiunas
In the organizer's words:
George Mačiunas' notation systems, created between 1960 and 1962, are the epitome of "do-it-yourself" compositions. Take a grid, enter the sounds to be produced and their duration values, et voilà - avant-garde music.
But the apparent simplicity of these scores is deceptive. The cellist, composer and visual artist Anton Lukoszevieze, founder and director of the experimental ensemble "Apartment House", will perform.
