In 1979, Walter Zimmermann and the Beginner Studio realized John Cage's Musicircus in Bonn with musicians from different scenes and a selected audience. However, the 90-minute WDR recording was not broadcast.

A 30-minute version can be heard, while photos by Guido Conen are projected at the same time. This is followed by a discussion about the work and memories of John Cage's first visit to East Berlin in 1990.
