Kampf der Künste is finally bringing what is considered the supreme discipline in the German-language poetry slam championships back to the stage in Hamburg: the team poetry slam!

Everything is better with two. Time together is better, sleeping together is better and let's be honest: holding hands with yourself is also kind of stupid. That's what the numerous poetry slam teams thought too, who not only take to the stages of the nations in pairs but sometimes also in threes (or alternatively in eights or tens) - in this case the stage of the legendary Ernst Deutsch Theater.

Teams of two or more perform what a single slammer could hardly achieve: stories that become polyphonic chants, words that form the background music of a text and, in the end, what only a slam team can achieve: music without instruments, a song made of words without notes.

The most successful and legendary teams the country has to offer will compete. Anyone who still believes in the principle of being alone has not heard how two voices can become one, turning words into music.
