Jazz Night at Betty's Black Pearl: Janssen-Dauks Quintett live

Dear jazz fans, the new year begins as it should: with good music, fine harmonies and a place where jazz is not just played, but lived. On January 14, 2026, Betty's Black Pearl welcomes a special ensemble: the Janssen-Dauks Quintett at Betty's Jazz Night in Bremen.

Five musicians, one common language - jazz. Christian Janssen (saxophone & flute), Ralf Dauks (guitar), Jan Arndt (piano), Volker Tesmer (bass) and Sönke Wittenberg (drums) present modern, warm-sounding jazz with depth and character. The program includes selected classics from the American Songbook, compositions by jazz greats such as John Abercrombie, Chick Corea and Bill Evans as well as Christian Janssen's own works. Music that doesn't have to be loud to make an impression.

Anyone who loves jazz knows that evenings like this are more than just concerts. They are encounters - with music, with atmosphere and with people who enjoy listening. And that's exactly what Betty's Black Pearl is the right place for.

Another reason to be happy: Betty's Jazz Night will continue in 2026 - always on the second Wednesday of the month. With this concert, the series will finally have a permanent place in Bremen's jazz calendar. We look forward to many special evenings, good conversations and, of course, jazz that is here to stay.
