Betty's Jazz Night - Part V: MBM JazzRockets live at Betty's Black Pearl

The jazz series goes into the next round - and how! Part V of Betty's Jazz Night is just around the corner and this time we are delighted to welcome the MBM JazzRockets from Bremerhaven to Betty's Black Pearl.

Charming, warm and with the right groove in her blood, Alison Degbe will once again lead us through the evening. As co-founder of the jazz series, she not only knows the concept, but also the music - and is a master at combining stories, backgrounds and sounds.

Following the successful debut of their album Friendship, which was presented with guitarist Jörg Seidel as a guest musician, among others, the ensemble has re-formed around keyboardist Mike Bach - and now presents itself as MBM JazzRockets: fresh, full of energy and musically to the point.

The Bremerhaven-based band - with Joachim Fuß (guitar), Mike Bach (keyboards), Terry Joe (drums), Matthias Beckmann (bass) and the Ukrainian saxophonist Yevgeniy Kuzmov - stands for modern electro-acoustic jazz-rock-pop with soul. Independent, creative and full of joy in playing, they combine groove, fine timbres and virtuoso improvisations to create a sound that moves and inspires in equal measure.

Yevgeniy Kuzmov has enriched the ensemble as an award-winning musician and jazz lecturer since 2024. His expressive playing brings a breath of fresh air and additional depth to the repertoire - while the band is already working on its next album.

An evening with the MBM JazzRockets is not an "off-the-peg" concert, but a thrilling experience: modern sounds, earthy grooves, strong solos and music that comes from the heart and consistently defies any pigeonholing. Jazz that lives - and is perfect for a night at Betty's Black Pearl.
