Biita is the new project from singer-songwriter Lisa Houdei, formerly known a s LéPonds. A singular force in experimental folk, Houdei has released four independent albums and toured nationally with artists like Jeff Tweedy, Natalie Prass, and Black Belt Eagle Scout, and long time collaborator Haley Heynderickx. Now based in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles, she returns with her most powerful work to date: This Bed Was Made For Me - a full-length album produced by Heynderickx, featuring contributions from Buck Meek & José Medeles. Blending Houdei's Persian heritage with her American experience, This Bed Was Made For Me is a deeply textured, emotionally resonant album. It's rooted in tradition, but never bound by it- a fearless body of work that threads joy and grief, ritual and rupture, into something wholly original.
