Art historian Stephanie Ruhfaß dedicates the guided tour of the permanent exhibition to love stories surrounding some of the paintings. The self-portrait by Maxim Kopf and the portrait of the sculptor Mary Duras tell of the artist couple's relationship. What lies behind the melancholy gaze of Cornelia Paczka-Wagner, as painted by Max Klinger in Italy? And who are the ladies who posed for Max Pechstein for his two paintings "Blue Day" (1911) and "Fresh Breeze" (1921)?
