Once upon a time in Brake an der Weser
Almost 26 years ago - BITUME was founded in 1999.
An almost seamless transition from the band Hush Puppies, which was continued under a new name. The first studio album followed shortly afterwards, and BITUME began to play concerts after concerts
and was quite busy with more songs and albums. Always on the move and quickly well connected in the German punk scene. Back then on the cult label VITAMINEPILLEN
RECORDS, BITUME is now on ROOKIE RECORDS and in the very best of company. There is no end in sight. And why should there be?
There are an incredible number of kilometers between then and now, many great evenings, many lifelong friendships and many beautiful and crazy stories. Lots of punk, lots of music, lots of great places and acquaintances. Many, many rehearsals, many times the song WIND, many broken guitar strings and much more.
26 years is a long time - everyone gets older and life changes. But the music and the band are a constant for BITUME through all stages of life. You can tell.
BITUME is not a short-term project - it's part of everyday life. Always there through all the
ups and downs of life!
