Before the “BVB Army” came to be, before the countless fan tattoos and the subsequent gold and platinum awards, Black Veil Brides were merely the dark vision of an only child from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Andy Biersack grew up with an obsession for monsters—whether real or imagined—as well as for Batman, KISS, the Misfits, and “The Phantom of the Opera.” The striking religious iconography and his ambivalent relationship with his Catholic heritage fueled his exploration of the mysterious, primal, and often destructive allure of faith. Determined to give meaning to his life through artistic expression and convinced of the power of outsiders, Andy harnessed his fears and fascinations—which ultimately led to the “birth” and rise of Black Veil Brides.

Guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, drummer Christian Coma, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and Biersack have celebrated numerous milestones in recent years, including massive concerts in London and Mexico City. The song “Bleeders” became a Top 10 hit on “Active Rock” radio and remained on YouTube’s “Hard Rock & Metal” charts (which include both current music videos and older tracks) for months in 2024 and 2025.

“VINDICATE,” the band’s seventh album, captures the blend of grandeur and intimacy that defines the group’s melodic metal sound. Every song on the album explores the theme of faith as well as various facets of revenge; a common thread runs through the history of Black Veil Brides, and the emotional impulses that have defined each era of the band are distilled here into their most concentrated and impactful form.

VINDICATE is the first new album produced by Pitts and Biersack; in doing so, they retained full creative control and combined the best of what they had learned from top-tier producers. The album was mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Evanescence, Bad Omens).
With VINDICATE, Black Veil Brides usher in their most intense, creative, exciting, and uncompromising era to date, while continuing to prove outsiders’ expectations and prejudices wrong.
