Bleech 9:3 Announce Berlin Show for September 2026
Their first single, “Ceiling,” is less than a year old, but Bleech 9:3 is already soaring to new heights. It’s often the quiet, unassuming details that determine whether a band is more than just a fleeting impression. For Bleech 9:3, this quality lies in the way their songs resonate without being overbearing. This is how the Dublin-based band creates a unique pull: between controlled restraint and sudden bursts forward, a sound emerges that is precisely crafted yet feels open.
With their debut EP, set for release in May, they offer a first focused glimpse into what makes Bleech 9:3 unique. The tracks revolve around closeness and distance, the unspoken between people—and above all, addiction, destruction, and loss. Two of the founding members, Barry Quinlan and Sam Duffy, met while battling their own addictions—a time when “a better life still seemed out of reach and barely tangible.” They quickly became friends and began writing their first songs. The creative foundation of Bleech 9:3 was born and was soon complemented by James Quinlan (bass) and Luke O’Neill (drums). The band’s sound ranges from striking, almost untamable melodies to heavy, distorted walls of sound, drawing on influences that span from classic rock bands to film and art. With their guitar textures, they open up spaces; the vocals remain close, almost vulnerable, without ever veering into fragility. “We want to live the music and speak through it,” says bassist James Quinlan.
The band’s true strength is most evident on stage; with just a handful of released singles, the quartet is already considered an insider’s tip. For Bleech 9:3, concerts aren’t just about playing finished songs—they’re a place of intensification. There, the arrangements gain sharpness, becoming edgier and more immediate. This energy keeps building: After a whirlwind 2025 filled with support slots and sold-out shows, things are staying just as hectic: The musicians have just finished touring with Keo and Deadletter, and they’re already kicking off their sold-out UK headline tour. This summer will feature opening sets for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Wunderhorse, as well as performances at the Reading & Leeds Festival. Here in Germany, too, audiences will soon be able to get a sense of the very band whose reputation precedes them: In September 2026, Bleech 9:3 will come to Berlin for a concert.
