Dans Myth presents the new dance production Blink and Bite under the choreographic direction of Daniel Smith.

Over the course of a lifetime, the body learns to protect itself. In the process, it collects armor, relics and signs of survival. Layer by layer, a shiny surface emerges - a kind of "hero*in, created to withstand injury.

Blink and Bite examines how protective strategies designed to protect us from personal harm can themselves become obstacles. What happens when armor no longer protects, but begins to engulf us?

The choreography unfolds in an environment composed of fragmented imagery from cartoons, anime and video games. The visual space is created by installation artist Rewert Remmers and designer Edvin Spahić and forms a dark, yet shimmering collage of memory and fantasy.
