Rene Wise, Luke Slater, and Blasha & Allatt, three artists from different generations of UK Techno, each tell their own story about the functional delights of British Techno-far removed from the well-known Rave, Breakbeat, UK Hardcore, and IDM tropes. Luke Slater himself is a key figure, shaping the legacy of UK Techno from early on, while Rene Wise is already a well-established young star with a knack for essential grooves. Blasha & Allatt bring their raucous and passionate, eclectic selections, which have made Manchester's queer Meat-Free parties ones to watch. Rounding out the night are our residents, Glaskin, setting the stage and framework for a trip through British dance music's past, present, and future.
Meanwhile, the Orbital Reflector crew on our PLUS floor are busy crafting their own contemporary take on dance music, resisting the popular, hyper-driven trends of today's scene, with sparks of experimental and leftfield sounds, nodding to UK grooves from time to time as well. Exploring the space between experimental and functional sounds, from listening sets to full-on potent grooves, is Ada Luvv from Cologne. Ossia, meanwhile, follows Dub music's siren call into the raw, dizzying depths of all things grooving. Ciao Ciao and Orbital Reflector member tbhase will also add many beguiling grooves and musical references to the night on our PLUS floor.

Luke Slater is considered a key figure in the scene that shaped techno in the UK from the very beginning, while Rene Wise is a young, already established artist with a flair for essential grooves. Blasha & Allatt impress with passionate and versatile sets and have also made the queer Meat Free parties they organize a highlight. Our residents Glaskin round off the evening and provide the framework for a journey through the past, present and future of British dance music.
Meanwhile, on the PLUS floor, the Orbital Reflector collective will be working on their own contemporary interpretation of dance music. Unimpressed by short-lived (micro) trends, their sound is characterized by experimental & leftfield, occasionally with a wink towards British grooves.
