In the organizer's words:
"Block17" is a youth and music project to promote young up-and-coming artists from the region. The aim of the project is to give young singers and musicians the opportunity to gain their first stage experience in front of a larger audience and at the same time to create a safe cultural meeting place for teenagers and young adults.
The concert is held as an open-air event at Druckluft Oberhausen and offers space for up to 400 visitors.
In addition to musical entertainment, the focus is on promoting creativity, community, cultural participation and youth engagement.
