BLUES SESSION
In the organizer's words:
The Elville Blues Band with Lucky Wüthrich
Led by Tom Schaffert, the Elville Blues Band celebrates the blues every month with rotating guests at the dasHaus Cultural Center.
The monthly blues session organized by the dasHaus e.V. Friends Association brings a variety of guests from the German and international blues scene to the stage of the dasHaus Cultural Center. The focus is on the joy of making music together: spontaneous, direct, and without unnecessary frills.
Lucky Wüthrich will be the guest performer in October. The 30-year-old musician from Thun combines his virtuoso guitar playing with an extraordinary, soul-infused voice. His songs are driven by a palpable emotionality and an honesty that touches the listener immediately. Whether he’s singing about love, a broken heart, or the stories and fates of his friends—Wüthrich stays true to his own experiences and finds a candid musical language to express them.
At the same time, his deep connection to American music history is unmistakable. Blues, soul, and the great musicians who have left a lasting mark on American music form an important foundation for his own sound. With his debut album “Steady,” Wüthrich has already completed a successful tour of 80 concerts in Switzerland. Since 2024, he has been on the road with his second album, “MY KIND OF MUSIC.”
For the blues session, he’ll be joined by the regular lineup of the ElVille Blues Band: Tom Schaffert (guitar), Sam Sommer (drums), Frowin Ickler (bass), and Tom Karb (Hammond).
Under the motto “What you see is what you get,” the series is all about authentic live music, spontaneous encounters, and the unique energy of the blues. An evening for everyone who wants to not just listen to music, but experience it firsthand.
