Boots Night Festival

Boots Night has once again given its all and put together a potpourri of good humor that is well worth seeing: With boss reggae, ska, rocksteady, soul, rockabilly punk rock and rock'n roll, everything is there to get the Boots steaming. As if that wasn't enough, our Boots Night Soundsystem will do the honors and round off the evening with the wonderful Kiel-based DJs SmartCore with a fantastic after-show party as always. We are proud and looking forward to a great evening with you and Roy Ellis, The Magnetics, The Peacocks, Skaramanga and Knipp Gumbo.

The Boss is back: Roy Ellis aka Mr. Symarip
We are so proud and happy that the living legend Roy Ellis, aka Mr. Symarip, is coming back to Bremen for Boots Night. I'm sure many still have his fantastic show from last time in their ears. There is really no need to introduce this gentleman, singer of Pyramids/Symarip, one of the first ska reggae bands in England in the 1960s, who gave birth to boss reggae. His busy musical life is reflected in his countless music projects and above all in his exciting musical CV. But one thing he will always remain for the scene is Mr. Symarip, with a fantastic voice, a still very energetic show, glamour and still a star to touch. Together with the wonderful The Magnetics he will make the hall sing and dance, WORD!
Welcome back Mr. Roy Ellis!

The Magneticsfrom Italy were founded in 2017 around frontman Olly Riva, who has been on stage with Shandon and the Soulrockets for a long time. The band mixes a vintage Jamaican sound of rocksteady and early reggae with soul & RnB. The first album (vinyl + CD) "Jamaican Ska" was released in 2017 and was a much-praised hit in the scene worldwide. The band has inspired the scene in almost all of Europe. Now they are finally coming to Boots Night, which makes us very happy.

The Peacocks
What else can we say about the Peacocks? That they are an incredibly good (live) band? Everyone knows that! The Peacocks love what they do. You can tell. Their style, initially influenced by rockabilly and psychobilly, is now influenced by the hot shit of the whole London underground scene of 1981, but still modern in the here and now. Still in the three-piece line-up of guitar/vocals, double bass and drums, the three Swiss finally spoil us again with an explosive live show par excellence! As if that wasn't enough, their 9th studio album "And Now What?" will be released on November 22, 2024 on Concrete Jungle Records.
Welcome back to Boots Night, The Peacocks!

Skaramanga have stood for varied, sweaty beats in a black and white guise for more than 20 years. True to the motto "Always a foot in the ska", the 10 Hamburgers convince with rousing hooks and highly danceable upbeats. Now they are making a stop at Boots Night and will be spreading a great atmosphere.
Welcome Skaramanga, we are looking forward to it!

Knipp Gumbo - "RockʼnʼRoll un sowat - op Platt und Hoochdüütsch!"
It's actually a solo project, but Knipp Gumbo is also really lively as a trio. The musical meal is hearty and hearty: RockʼnʼRoll, Americana and pub rock between the Paladins, Dr. Feelgood and Steve Earl. The three musicians from Bremen are also a household name in the German and international music scene beyond the city limits. And to round things off, our fantastic Boots Night Soundsystem will be serving up the obligatory after-show party. We are delighted to have the wonderful SmartCore DJ team as guest DJs once again. Here, everyone will once again give their all to bring the Boots Night Festival to a fitting close. Get ready for a hot night!
