Boško Jović - Gitarrenkonzert

The outstanding Bosnian-Herzegovinian guitarist Boško Jović will be performing at the Luise Cultural Center in Munich on 13 June 2026.

Boško Jović is an artist who uses the guitar not only as an instrument, but also as a medium to tell the most beautiful stories.

What can you expect on this evening? The solo guitar concert is designed as a journey through Boško's versatile work - from his own interpretations of traditional Sevdah songs with elements of classical music, to jazz and original compositions from his albums "Buđenje", "Voyage", "Strings", "Colors" and "Trio".

About the artist: Boško Jović is a guitar virtuoso whose music transcends borders - both geographical and genre borders. He has developed an unmistakable style that combines classical, jazz and pop. He is one of the most versatile musicians of his generation.

After his musical education in Zenica (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and studies in ethnomusicology and guitar at the Sarajevo Academy of Music, as well as his master's degree with Prof. Alexander Swete, he has worked with stars such as the Sevdah diva Amira Medunjanin and Stjepan Hauser ("2Cellos").

Boško is the creator of some of the most emotional guitar parts in contemporary Balkan music. His talent has also been discovered by international film producers, and his sound has been used in the movie "Twice Born" with Penélope Cruz, among others, as well as in numerous Balkan cinema hits.

Boško's sound is both intimate and grandiose. His work is characterized by incredible technical precision and deep emotion, making him the ideal ambassador for the culture of the countries of former Yugoslavia, which the organizer Cultus BH e.V. is proud to present in Munich.
