In the organizer's words:

"How beautiful you are, my beloved" - the biblical "Song of Songs", also known as the "Song of Solomon", sings of love in rich imagery. In the Christian tradition, this oriental poem from the Old Testament is reinterpreted as God's love for the community of faith. In his Cantique, the French composer Daniel-Lesur found a very personal style with ethereal, fragile but also gripping soundscapes.

When the Latvian conductor Krista Audere returns to the BR Choir, it will be with even more vocal matters of the heart: Music from our time. From Norwegians, Swedes, French and Dutch. The theme? Love, of course, just in time for Valentine's Day!
