REACHING INTO THE BAVARIAN WORLD OF LEGENDS

The story of how moonshiner and gunsmith Kaspar Brandner succeeds in intoxicating the "Boandlkramer" with cherry brandy and wrings eighteen more years of life out of death in a card game is part of the Bavarian identity. But composer Christian Auer and librettist Karl-Heinz Hummel have not simply packed the whole thing into wonderful songs. A dedicated grip on the Bavarian saga world brings the story to life in a completely new way.

THE LOVE OF THE BAVARIAN HOMELAND

In heaven, many things are in a state of upheaval and almost make Peter, the porter, despair. Now even the reliable Boandlkramer lets himself be pulled over the coals. The Brandner triumphs over the years of life he has gained - but will it end well? Fortunately, the Boandlkramer, with the help of the Rockadirl, the Wetterhex and the Trud, manages to make the Brandner clearly feel the limits of his age. So the Boandlkramer is finally able to persuade him to at least take a trial look at paradise. Will he stay? That remains to be seen ... But one thing is certain: This Brandner Kaspar is a deeply comedic musical with wonderful songs in catchy tune quality and full of love for the Bavarian homeland.
