Descendants of German emigrants live in lonely valleys in southern Brazil. In "Walachai", Brazilian filmmaker Rejane Zilles shows the life of the people. The hilly landscape is lush, with banana trees, sugar cane and palm trees. Because many of the fields are steep, they are plowed by oxen. To mark 200 years of German immigration to Brazil in July, the German-Brazilian Society invites you to watch this extraordinary documentary.
