Braunschweiger Museumsnacht 2026 im Haus am Löwenwall des Städtischen Museums

Every two years, the Braunschweig Museum Night invites visitors to marvel, discover, and enjoy. This year, it’s that time again: institutions run by the City of Braunschweig, the State of Lower Saxony, various cultural associations, and independent organizations will open their doors late into the night on June 27, 2026. Braunschweig is wide awake! Exhibitions, concerts, open-air events, and hands-on activities guarantee an unforgettable night full of art and culture.

The following institutions and exhibition venues can be visited during Braunschweig Museum Night : the , the Allgemeine Konsumverein, the Braunschweig State Museum “Hinter Aegidien,” as well as the St. Ulrici-Brüdern Family Museum, the Duke Anton Ulrich Museum, the Kunstverein Braunschweig e. V., the Braunschweig Agricultural Technology Museum – Gut Steinhof, the Braunschweig Museum of Photography, the Raabe House: Literature Center, the Braunschweig Castle Museum, the State Museum of Natural History, and the Municipal Museum with its locations at Haus am Löwenwall and the Old Town Hall.

Program at the Haus am Löwenwall:
8:00 p.m.: Short lecture in front of the original artwork: “The Artist’s Dream: Marc Chagall at the Braunschweig City Museum” with curator Dr. Lars Berg.
9:00 p.m.: Guided tour of the special exhibition “In Their Own Voice: 75 Years of the Central Council of Jews in Germany” with Museum Director Dr. Peter Joch.
10:00 p.m.: “Best Strings”—guided tour of the musical instrument collection with curator Dr. Antje Becker.
