tween 1957 and 1961, the magazine QUICK published a column entitled "Der ganz offene Brief". Its author: a certain Loriot. In these early texts, he paints a portrait of the mores of the young Federal Republic of Germany with a fine instinct - precisely observed, linguistically elegant and infused with the dry humor that would later delight millions. Loriot's unforgettable style as a television presenter and sketch writer is already evident here: the succinct punchline, the subtle look at human weaknesses and the humor that never has to be loud to hit the mark. Of course, the characteristic drawings are not missing either.

Johann von Bülow is now bringing these long-lost and only recently rediscovered letters to the stage for the first time. The multiple award-winning actor, known from film and television productions such as The Adlon, The Minister and The Mirror Affair, is one of the most distinguished character actors of his generation. Whether historical material, literary readings or subtle comedies - von Bülow convinces with precision, poise and an elegant stage presence.

With a sure sense of timing and nuances, he brings Loriot's early texts to life without over-shaping their spirit. The result is an evening that is both a literary discovery and a humorous journey through time - an encounter with the young Loriot and a reunion with a humor that still has a timeless effect today.
