We're going to go out on a limb and say that we could all do with a little more romance. That's why we recommend Bruckner's heavily romantic Fourth. When the natural-sounding horn overlays the delicate string tremolos in the opening bars, the longing for a more wholesome world can already be sensed - and is appreciated with bright, unbroken colors.

Before that, there is still a mystery to solve, that of the "Prague": to this day, it remains unclear why Mozart did not write a minuet for his Symphony No. 38 and left it at three movements. His biographer Alfred Einstein simply explained that everything was said in three movements. The lush arc of tension from sombre spheres to sparkling joie de vivre in "Figaroesque" D major proves him right.
