BRUCHSTELLEN.Fragmente. Auf der Suche nach dem Vergessenen

In the organizer's words:

Senior citizens from the performance ensemble Spielunikate from Marzahn-Hellersdorf and contemporary witnesses from the former 'brother countries' join the artist collective sideviews on a research trip into the past: What points of contact did GDR citizens have with 'contract workers'? What experiences, adventures and memories from back then have remained? What were the connecting and what were the dividing moments? Which events still have an impact on today's society? What can we learn from those times, and what would be better forgotten?

The results of the senior citizens' research will lead to a playful, interactive performance format and at the same time offer space for personal discussions.

Spielunikate is a performance ensemble that emerged from the projects ANSPIEL and Die Marzahner Promenade spricht by Seraphina Lenz. It consists of the performers Hannelore Eckert, Wilma Florath, Monika Kegel, Hans-Heino Luxa, Tomma Luxa, Kirsten Müller, Anja Paetsch, Christel Sickers and Uwe Sickers, who all live in the Berlin district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
