Every Thursday we present great and regional acts on our small and fine stage.
On Thursday, 09.07.2026 we are looking forward to:
Brustkiste
A musical journey began in the heart of Munich's Glockenbach district in the summer of 2022: The Brustkiste. Seven young women, who originally came together in a choir and over time made friends, have since blended their voices into a sound that defies any genre pigeonhole.
Brustkiste consists of Sophia Metz, Simone Rutsch, Miriam Ma, Cäcilia Halbgewachs, Nicole Buuck, Antonia Beisenherz and Thuy Trinh. What began as a regular get-together to sing together quickly developed into a creative all-female band that never lost its focus on polyphonic singing. Brustkiste sees itself as a musical grab bag: from composed songs and unusual cover versions to spontaneous, seven-part random experiments.
It's not about perfection, but about the honesty and joy that arise in the jointly created sound world of the seven friends. From larger stages in Munich to living room and courtyard concerts organized by the band itself, Brustkiste has already proven itself in a variety of venues. Performances in well-known venues such as Import Export, Strom, Café-Bar Mona and renowned festivals such as Tollwood and Blechsonne in northern Germany are part of their career to date.
But whether in front of a large audience or in a small group, the energy and solidarity of the seven voices always remains palpable and captivates the audience. The fusion of the voices is particularly striking: With minimalist instrumentals, they create an intense, almost hypnotic tapestry of sound that is characterized by both spontaneity and a deep trust in the musical connection between the women. The Brustkiste is more than just a band. It is an experiment, a community and a courageous commitment to musical freedom.
Admission: 19.00 hrs | Start: from 20.00 hrs
[Free admission.]
The concert is part of the project ROOKIE - Candidplatz für alle. Made possible by the District Committee 18 of the City of Munich and supported by the Kulturator Foundation.
