Valentin classic as a lively musical
After Der Brandner Kaspar, we are bringing another Bavarian classic to our Silbersaal stage as a musical together with the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein. However, this delicious production by Buchbinder Wanninger is not only based on Karl Valentin's play of the same name. Sketches such as "Im Photoatelier" and "An Bord" have also been integrated.
Around the world with 8 beats
Munich, Geiselgasteig 1930: the film company Meissel und Company is on the verge of ruin. Filming is still in full swing: excerpts from the music film "Around the World in 8 Bars" starring Alberich von Hin und Weg are on the shooting schedule, the adventurous journey around the world in his 1930 Mercedes Benz model with catchy tunes from North America, Brazil, the Gobi Desert and Nepal. However, the film crew is eagerly waiting for the famous actress Miss Ling from China, a cinema superstar, whose immense fame - especially on the Chinese market - is supposed to bring money back into the company's empty coffers. But everything is hanging by a thread, as a municipal electricity meter reader wants to collect a sum that the company cannot afford and a bookbinder keeps calling Wanninger to deliver his books and invoice. The two secretaries Emerenz Rembremerdeng and Natascha Eisele have their hands full trying to get rid of the two and save the company.
Musical homage
In this musical homage to the early days of Munich cinema, in which the famous Karl Valentin was a formative figure, the team Karl-Heinz Hummel and Christian Auer have incorporated his incredible comedy and word acrobatics, as well as writing a series of sing-along hits in the style of the 1930s: e.g. "Ein Bayer im Himalaya", "Ob die Erde rund ist wie ein Fußball", "Flimmern und Rauschen" or "Der Föhn ist schuld". And, of course, the immortal "Chinese couplet" is not missing. The VonderAu swing orchestra will provide the musical backdrop for this wonderful homage to the great Bavarian humorist. The cast of Buchbinder Wanninger - The Musical includes Ferdinand Dörfler in the title role, Tanja Maria Froidl, Henriette Schreiner and other great actors and actresses.
