Two family stories that are just one. Two women whose pasts are characterized by lies and painfully connected. Actress and author Judith Hoersch invites you to the premiere of her new novel - which can provide enlightening insights not only for mothers and daughters. Caroline Rosales will host the evening.

Alma and Isabell are nobody's daughters. Alma grows up in the Eifel in the 1980s, but the clever and inquisitive girl feels alienated from her family, who run a bakery there. Her origins are kept secret. Many years later, Isabell also sorely misses her mother. This void in her past affects her present, her feelings and thoughts and her own family life. Between Polaroids, lies and lost dreams, a family secret unfolds that connects the two women across generations and only comes to light decades later.

Judith Hoersch spent a lot of time in her grandparents' bakery during her childhood and vividly remembers the smell of fresh bread and yeast. She made her first attempts at writing as a child - influenced by her father, who worked as a journalist and wrote portraits of artists. Today, the actress lives with her daughter in Berlin and writes novels and screenplays.
