The global order is in upheaval, our news is full of crises and wars. International politics has moved more into our focus, closer to our everyday lives. New questions arise and the world seems more complex than before. What place do we occupy in this world? As Germany, as the European Union, as the "West"? And: alongside the old poles of power, new players are confidently emerging, the so-called Global South is forming alliances and defending its diverse positions. What interests, perspectives and motives drive its actions? How does the Global South view us? What is the way forward in this multipolar world at a time full of challenges? What are the opportunities of a new, more diverse international policy?
Johannes Plagemann and Henrik Maihack provide answers to these questions in their book "Wir sind nicht alle - Der Globale Süden und die Ignoranz des Westens ". The presentation of their book will be followed by a discussion moderated by Stine Klapper from FES Nord and space for questions from the audience.
