BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and TRIVIUM on joint anniversary tour in Europe

In 2025, both bands are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their two legendary albums with full-length live performances on The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour.
Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Hanover, Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich are on the German tour schedule in February.
They will be supported by special guests ORBIT CULTURE.

"I can't believe it's been an incredible 20 years since the release of The Poison," explains Matt Tuck, frontman of Bullet For My Valentine. "I'm proud of what we've achieved as a band over the last two decades, it all started with that debut album. The Poison is such an important part of our lives musically and personally. We realize what a huge impact it has had on the metal world. This tour means a lot to us as we'll be on the road with our friends from Trivium, who will be playing their stunning full-length album Ascendancy."

"Bullet For My Valentines The Poison and Trivium's Ascendancy are two records whose influence can still be heard in the DNA of modern metal today," confirms Trivium frontman Matt Heafy. "It's incredible to think of the impact they had when they were released in 2005. They hit like lightning bolts. Both bands grew up independently in different countries and away from any movement or scene, but at their core shared a common love of melodic heavy metal. And both had similarly meteoric rises from the start."

He continues: "When our albums came out, there was such a buzz around Trivium and BFMV that we never really got to play together or celebrate together in the maelstrom of constant touring and recording. But that's what the anniversary tour is all about. It's an invitation for fans to come and join us for an epic evening of singing, celebrating and feeling the incredible power of music."

The influence of both albums, released in 2005, on the development of modern metal is undeniable. For BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, The Poison was their debut album and saw the band reach unimaginable heights. In the summer of that year, the Welsh metallers opened for Funeral For A Friend in the UK, only to return to the same venues as headliners just a few months later. Following its drop in October 2005, The Poison reached number 21 in the UK album charts, landed at number seven on KERRANG!'s "Albums Of The Year" list and eventually achieved gold status.

Released in March 2005, TRIVIUM created a classic with Ascendancy. It ended the year as KERRANG!'s "Album of the Year", went gold in the UK and sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. When they opened the main stage at Download Festival that year, the boys from Florida - barely teenagers - delivered a set that left everyone in the audience in no doubt that they were dealing with future legends: The KERRANG! -readers voted it the tenth best gig of all time.
