At the invitation of the Berliner Philharmoniker
No concert season is complete without a performance by the Bundesjugendorchester, the "godchild" of the Berliner Philharmoniker. This time, Germany's best young talents between the ages of 14 and 24 come together with the Bundesjazzorchester to present jazz highlights by Leonard Bernstein, Duke Ellington and Wynton Marsalis. Darius Milhaud's La Création du monde and Sofia Gubaidulina's revue music prove that classical composers also have a flair for swing. Libor Šíma, whose Sledgehammer reloaded will be premiered, and singer Malika Tirolien, who will present her Grow Suite as a star guest, also have jazz in their blood.
