The Viennese band Buntspecht is one of the most exciting voices on the German-speaking indie scene. With their unique blend of indie, folk, chanson and experimental pop, they create a warm, poetic sound somewhere between melancholy and euphoria. Carried by violin, horns, guitars and the distinctive voice of Lukas Klein, they create songs that are simultaneously raw, playful and deeply touching.

Since their formation in Vienna, Buntspecht have gained a loyal fan base throughout the German-speaking world with intense live shows and acclaimed albums such as Wer jagt mich wenn ich hungrig bin or Spring bevor du fällst.
