KLASSIK & COCKTAILS 2026

A treat for all the senses - this is the motto of the Klassik & Cocktails open-air concerts in the courtyard of Kornbrennerei Krämer, which have already become a tradition as an atmospheric classical event. Dortmund's cultural exports Anouchka & Katharina Hack, cellist and pianist on renowned concert stages, are returning to their home town for a home game. On Wednesday, July 15, from 7 p.m., the courtyard of the Krämer distillery will be transformed into an open-air concert hall with a cocktail bar.

This year there will be a very special program for the Dortmund audience: the sisters will be presenting their new album "DNA" for the first and only time months before its official release.
Since early childhood, Anouchka & Katharina Hack have not only been inseparably linked by their biological DNA - with music, they have grown a second, artistic DNA. Growing up in a family of musicians surrounded by sound, between the plush armchairs of the Dortmund Opera and its exciting backstage, the two musicians have been improvising, fantasizing and staging for as long as they can remember.
The sisters make this connection audible with their own improvisations, music by Katharina Hack and their father Hauke Hack - and round off the picture with music by Robert Schumann, Leos Janacek and Karel Svoboda, who have particularly influenced their shared musical language and imagination. With music by two other artistic families, the sisters Lili and Nadia Boulanger and their father Ernest, as well as Antonin Dvorak, his daughter Otilie and his husband Josef Suk, their musical-familial DNA comes to light. Anouchka & Katharina Hack honor life for art with a commissioned composition by Marina Baranova, a fantasia on the opera "La Bohème", and a new arrangement of Charles Azanvour's chanson of the same name.

This unusual classical program needs a special venue: the traditional Dortmund family business of Kornbrennerei Krämer has been synonymous with enjoyment for over 150 years, and so exquisite drinks will be paired with classical music in the atmospheric courtyard on a summer evening.
Children and young people up to the age of 18 have free admission to the concert. Cocktails cost extra, non-alcoholic cocktails are also available.
