The first dyke* musical about the love story of Lotte Hahm and Käthe Fleischmann
Burning Berlin is a musical inspired by the lesbian pioneers Lotte Hahm and Käthe Fleischmann. We begin in the underground bars, ballrooms, and political hotbeds of 1920s Berlin and follow the couple’s love story over several decades into the postwar era. With cabaret-inspired ensemble storytelling, a turbulent love story, and a healthy dose of drama, the play moves between glamour and grief, and desire and resistance.
