For nearly three decades, the name Calexico has been synonymous with distinctive indie music that effortlessly crosses the musical boundaries between Americana, rock and infectious Latin sounds. Founded by Joey Burns and John Convertino in sun-soaked Tucson, Arizona, Calexico's unique sound has won them a loyal and ever-growing fan base around the world.

The album "Feast of Wire" was Calexico's international breakthrough in 2003 - the album not only conquered the charts, but also the critics' best lists. Since then, the band has released an impressive string of acclaimed albums and played the world's biggest festivals, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Bonnaroo and Roskilde. Calexico have also wowed audiences on tours with artists such as Wilco, Arcade Fire and Andrew Bird. Their live shows have been described by the Washington Post as "nearly flawless", the Chicago Tribune emphasized their "vibrant energy", and WNYC admired their ability to "rage like Sonic Youth and whisper like Elliott Smith".

The band has also made a name for itself off the stage with exciting collaborations: from joint projects with Iron & Wine and work with Willie Nelson, Nancy Sinatra and Neko Case, to film soundtracks and most recently a spectacular theater residency at the Vienna Volkstheater.

Now Calexico are finally coming back on tour - with their incomparable mixture of energy, atmosphere and musical diversity in their luggage.
