María Ángeles, 79, is deeply rooted in the Spanish quarter of Tangier. Her apartment in Calle Málaga - full of memories, flowers and antique treasures - is her pride and joy. She watches the hustle and bustle of the city from her balcony - calm, content, in her own world.

But when her daughter Clara wants to sell the apartment, everything begins to unravel. Instead of moving into a retirement home, María Ángeles puts up a fight. She fights for her home with wit, cunning and heart. Surprisingly, she finds new closeness, a zest for life and a love that she thought had long been lost.

The talented Moroccan director Maryam Touzani ("The Blue of the Caftan") tells a sensual and lively story of self-determined ageing and the special bond to a place - which is also her own home.
