The most famous cats of all time conquer Munich! In 1981, the Jellicle Cats gracefully revolutionized the musical world on four paws and broke all records: More than 73 million enchanted fans and numerous international awards have already been won by Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece. There is no end in sight to this success story, as the musical continues to captivate audiences as diverse as the cats themselves.

CATS asks to the ball

At first there are only shining eyes. A purr here, a soft hiss there. In the silvery light of the full moon on a starry night , a London scrapyard is transformed into the Jellicle Cats' ballroom. With dizzying acrobatic choreography, magic tricks and swaying hips, the character cats vie for the favor of their wise leader.

Goosebumps with "Memory"

Old Deuteronomy the cat will choose the one cat who will experience the miracle of rebirth. One by one, the velvet paws introduce themselves: from the sly Macavity to the innocently beautiful Victoria and the swashbuckling seducer Rum Tum Tugger. And when the outcast, ageing diva Grizabella ventures to the front and sings of happier days, it becomes as quiet as a mouse: with "Memory", she gives the audience one of the greatest moments in musical history.

From the West End to Munich

To Andrew Lloyd Webber's incomparable melodies, feline movements merge playfully with human character traits. The atmospheric stage design and unique costumes make the overall work of art perfect.

The successful production in English was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for "Best Musical Revival" in 2015. CATS has already won seven Tony Awards, three Drama Desk Awards and one Laurence Olivier Award. "Still the ultimate", raves the Times and the DailyMirror from London cheers: "Immortal melodies, a spectacular set and an outstanding cast!"

After its great success in 2022, the original from London's West End is coming back to Munich. Look forward to rousing songs, dizzyingly acrobatic choreography and truly magical moments!
