Cerebral Vantage Points – eine Ausstellung zeitgenössischer Kunst von Matthias Bitzer und Vusumzi Nkomo

In the organizer's words:

From October 30, 2025, the Brainlab Culture Program presents the exhibition Cerebral Vantage Points. A Poetic Dialogue between Matthias Bitzer and Vusumzi Nkomo in the atrium of the Brainlab headquarters in Munich-Riem. On display are works by the two artists, some of which were specially conceived for the exhibition, as well as surprising results of their creative collaboration.

The two artists live in Berlin and Cape Town. Their aim was to explore common perspectives between the "Global North" and the "Global South". But in the course of their encounter, something emerged that went beyond the curatorial idea: an unexpected closeness, borne of mutual curiosity, openness and a shared sense of play. Cerebral Vantage Points allows the audience to enter a living poem written in the language of dust, material and gravity: the exhibition offers an immersive, non-hierarchical and diverse curatorial approach, strongly inspired by the artists' spontaneous creative intuition. It is neither a nostalgic retrospective nor a (dis)organized experiment - it is an acknowledgement of the play that remains within the artists and their audience.

The exhibition is open every Friday with prior appointment booking. Registration here: Brainlab Culture Program.
