What begins as a joke sounds like street chanson, street Balkan gypsy rock, street swing, street world music and street folk in street French. Music you can laugh, cry, sing and dance to. Whether on the street or on small and large stages: Chanson Trottoir make you happy!

They got to know each other in Cologne's Südstadt, the legendary bohemian district of Cologne, and through their powerful, danceable, elegant and dirty interpretations of classic chansons, they increasingly developed their own sound. Starting with vocals, guitar, cajon and balalaika double bass, other musicians gradually joined them, expanding the spectrum to include accordion, clarinet and trumpet. The classics faded more and more into the background and now their own original compositions are the real highlights of the show.

After performing on every corner in Cologne, in almost every pub and at countless festivals, they have started to travel further afield with their first album "en pleine mer", which has taken them to France, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic and now to Mannheim for the second time. Allez-y!
