My Beetle & I
Charlotte has been performing internationally with the Bad Mouse Orchestra since 2017 and has made a name for herself with swing from the 1920s and 30s, particularly in the European ukulele scene.
In fall 2023, she released her debut solo album "My Beetle & I", with which she is now going on tour as a solo artist for the first time. The focus is on her own songs, many of them inspired by the swing of the early 20th century, its typical rhythms and harmonies. Musically, however, she spans a much wider range. For example, her love of chanson and folk is unmistakably mixed into her compositions.
Her lyrics tell small, personal stories, are poetic, clever, cheeky and always entertaining. Her music is a tribute to the artists of earlier eras, but always with a big breeze of Charlotte. Sometimes cheeky and swinging, sometimes delicate and complex.
