The kinetic magic of his wicket playing style makes him the voodoo priest of Berlin's music scene. As befits an avant-gardist, the person of Chris Imler is an integral part of his work. His aura oscillates between eternal street boy and dubious magician and stands for a longing for an uncompromising, glamorous, crazy, but at the same time somehow uncorrupted life, alert to any bullshit.
