Time stumbles on. So does the clan DATSUN. Despite the ever-warping landscape, they keep finding paths of least resistance up the mountain, carrying a lifetime of rock’n’roll mastery to hurl their latest riffage from the heights with joyous savagery.

Work on the eighth volume of DATSUN sonics continues steadily. Another drummer has departed, but Scandinavian thumper Adam Lindmark (Dead Lord) steps in for 2025 live action. A host of Swedish drummers also shape the recordings, delivering everything from Stoogeoid evil to power-pop crunch and proto-rawk assault.

Lead string wrangler Christian faces the reality of a new hand after a brutal year and major surgery to save it. In semi-rural New Zealand, Phil has been conjuring new interwoven guitar rhythms, while Dolf, in the lands of ice and snow, trades riffs and reshaped ideas with Scandinavian allies, sending fresh bursts of energy back to his DATSUN brothers.

The eighth album, Moonstruck Man, teeters on the edge of existence. To celebrate, DATSUN set out across Europe in July 2026, bringing their Aotearoan strut and swagger to the masses — loud, riff-driven rock, built in the studio and delivered hot-wired alive.
