Christian Zimmermann - Musik aus dem Barock für Laute und Barockgitarre

With lively dance movements and virtuoso instrumental fantasies, Freiburg lutenist Christian Zimmermann will introduce his listeners to the filigree sound world of the baroque lute in his concert on Sunday, June 14 at 8 pm at the EBW multi-generational house in Freiburg-Weingarten, Sulzburgerstraße 18.

The compositions are by J.S. Bach and Sylvius Leopold Weiß. Other musical delicacies on the program include dances by Gaspar Sanz and Santiago de Murcia for the baroque guitar, which brings a folkloristic note to the concert with its typical percussion techniques.Christian Zimmermann, who can be heard as a soloist in numerous concert series as well as on the radio, devoted himself to historical performance practice during his studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, which is woven into his lively and expressive playing. He has released a remarkable series of interesting CDs.
