Wood Wood Wood explores the history of the Białowieża Forest on the border of Poland and Belarus and its forgotten, repressed narratives. The forest is what we want to see in it: a romantic idyll, a place of refuge, a tsarist hunting ground, home to countless animal and plant species - but also a place of resistance and a scene of extreme violence. The performers follow these trails and tell of Jews and partisans during the German occupation, of the hunt for animals and humans and of the current situation on this outer border of Europe. In the middle of it all: a DJ at his desk, busy looping pasts and presents.
