„Chronogragment“ – eine Ausstellung der Künstler:innengruppe „Schicht“

The exhibition "Chronofragment" deals with the perception of time and shows it not as a linear process, but as something moving and fragmented. Moments overlap, repeat themselves and dissolve again. Memories, experiences and changes appear simultaneously and make it possible to experience time as a dynamic process.

After their first joint exhibition projects, the artists, who are all characterized by their individual artistic expression, joined forces two years ago to form the group "Schicht". The works of Paata Kokaia, Matsatso Gogichaishvili, Katja Zander, Ralf Kosmo, Jan Karczewski, Van Son Le, Rong Yan and Götz Sambale approach the chosen theme in different ways and convey movement, change, memory, materiality and the traces of time.

The exhibition invites visitors to pause, observe and engage with different perceptions of time. Through painting, photography, video, installation and sculpture, spaces are created in which time becomes visible as both a personal and collective experience.
