Cinéclub: Système K

In June, a month characterized by music and dance, we are putting artists and performers from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo - now considered the largest French-speaking city in the world - in the spotlight at Cinéclub with Système K. For five years, Renaud Barret roamed the colorful and lively metropolis of millions and recorded the statements of artists who are inspired by the political and social chaos of the city.

"System K" like Kinshasa. In the midst of the indescribable turmoil of the metropolis, a bubbling contemporary scene creates impressive art out of nothing, shouts out its anger and dreams of recognition. Despite administrative harassment and personal difficulties, the rhythm breaks out into the streets and nothing will stop it!
