Micha Jesske has his latest CD Smuk in his luggage. With each composition, the sextet led by Hasloch-born drummer and composer Micha Jesske tells its own story. The colorful music develops through the interplay of singing melodies and impressionistic harmonies. They also incorporate improvisational parts inspired by modern jazz. Smuk's sound is carried by a rhythmic network that is complex and at the same time makes hips sway - or at least heads bob.
