Cleanup am Rhein
In the organizer's words:
! Special Mission !
Due to the ongoing heat and drought, the Rhine’s water level has dropped to an unbelievable 40 cm (!), which means that a huge amount of stuff that’s usually hidden in the riverbed and underwater is now exposed. Carpets, tires, mats, rusty steel cables… and right now is our chance to retrieve all of these items, which will otherwise become inaccessible again once the water level rises.
Together, we’ll clean up and make sure that the trash doesn’t pollute our waters and oceans, thereby becoming a threat to animals, nature, and the environment.
We’ll bring everything needed for a cleanup. Equipped with gloves, grabbers, buckets, and trash bags, we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work with you.
All you need to bring is plenty of motivation, a positive attitude, and weather-appropriate clothing.
Are you in?
